Amit Balan is the Head of Marketing at VUDU, where he drives the Partner, Retail and Direct Marketing Strategy. In 2012 Consumer Reports ranked VUDU as the #1 streaming service for Customer Satisfaction in North America.

At VUDU, Amit has been building the brand into a category leader. Under his guidance in the past year, the company has experienced significant growth and customer engagement. VUDU is currently known for its high definition picture quality, unmatched user experience and inexhaustible selection of movies. For over a decade Amit has been building and guiding world-class marketing teams, successfully creating new markets for subscription services in different consumer and business sectors.

Previously, Amit was at McAfee for 6 years and guided the company to transition from primarily a Retail to an Online Subscription Business. During his tenure, Intel purchased McAfee for $7.8 billion. While there, as part of the executive team, he worked with global brands such as Adobe, Facebook, Terra, UOL, BSkyB, Lenovo, Dell, Sony, and HP among others.

Amit is a member of the VUDU executive team responsible for driving corporate and service strategy for the category within Wal-Mart. He holds a degree in Engineering from Cornell University and a M.B.A in Marketing Strategy & Management from Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley.
