Dieter Daum
Dieter Daum is CEO of Sony DADC Global. In this capacity he has overall responsibility
for Sony’s worldwide disc business. Sony DADC is a global supply chain partner to the entertainment industry and operates facilities in the Europe, US, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, China, Australia and Japan. In addition, he also serves as President of Sony Disc and Digital Solutions Inc., a Tokyo based subsidiary of Sony Corp.
Previous positions of Mr. Daum include CEO of Sony DADC Austria as well as Chief Production Officer at Sony Europe.
Before joining Sony in 1986, Dieter Daum had been working in the semiconductor industry with over four years at Austria Microsystems International, a manufacturer of application specific integrated circuits, leaving the company as its Vice President of Engineering.
Dieter Daum studied Electronics Engineering at the Technical University Graz, Austria, where he received his Masters Degree in 1977, and completed Management Courses at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.
Mr. Daum has offices in New York, Tokyo and Salzburg, Austria.
