Director General of the BVA since 1993, with responsibilities for parliamentary affairs, industry and external relations, co-ordinating the association’s market research and charitable activities.

Lavinia has chaired the Alliance Against IP Theft, as its founding member, since establishing it in 1998, lobbying for legislative reform to enable IP rights owners to protect and promote their rights in the interests of British industry and employment.

In 2004 on behalf of the BVA Lavinia set up and ran the Industry Trust for IP Awareness, of which she is still a director, whose remit is to improve public awareness of and respect for the value of copyright.

She is an Ambassador of leading UK children’s charity, Action For Children.”
