Steven G. Brown was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Cinram International Inc. on June 15, 2009.
Prior to joining Cinram, Mr. Brown was a veteran of the contract manufacturing sector, having worked for many years as CEO of a significant supplier to the major North American and European automobile manufacturers. He started his career in the United Kingdom where he was raised and has worked extensively in Europe, North America and Asia and has an understanding of European and North American business cultures where Cinram has major operations.
Since joining Cinram, Steve has reorganized the executive management team in to areas of excellence to support the Company’s diversified business strategy, increased company margins on a global basis, expanded the range of products and services offered by Cinram, and is now preparing to launch the company’s digital strategy in 2010/2011.
Mr. Brown also serves on the Board of Directors for IGS Corporation, a supplier to the retail industry, headquartered in Boston, MA.

Jim has been involved in forward-looking research and analysis in the global consumer electronics and home entertainment industry sectors for close to 30 years and is an acknowledged expert in projecting new technology uptake.

In 1987 he co-founded Understanding & Solutions, which went on to become one of the most respected firm of industry analysts in its field, with a blue chip client base from around the world. The company merged with Decision Tree Consulting In June 2008 to form Futuresource Consulting, in order to offer an enhanced range of services.

At the heart of the Futuresource analysis is an in-depth understanding of the content, communications, storage, broadcast, computing, mobile and consumer electronics sectors, all of which the company tracks right throughout the supply chain, from components and content creation through to retail sales and end consumer usage patterns.

Through this work, and its regular consumer research activities, Jim has developed a close understanding of consumer wants and needs and, in particular, focuses on how these vary across world markets and within the different demographic and lifestyle segments.

Well experienced in the branch, Sven Deutschmann started his career with Bertelsmann in the beginning of the 90s. After positions as Head of sales and customer service, he became Managing Director of topac MultimediaPrint GbmH, Guetersloh, in 1996.

By 1st September, 2002, Sven Deutschmann became Senior Vice President of Sonopress GmbH, Guetersloh, in addition to his former responsibilities.

By 1st July, 2003, he became Managing Director Sonopress GmbH, Guetersloh

Effective 1st May, 2005, Sven Deutschmann took over Management of Sonopress in Europe and is additionally to his former responsibilities as Managing Dircector Sonopress Guetersloh,  in charge of Sonopress’ operations in the U.K., France and Ireland.

From 2007 onwards CEO arvato digital services Manufacturing EMEA.  Since September 2007, he is also responsible for the worldwide coordination of customers in games and audio segment within arvato digital services, and since June 2009, for the global Entertainment segment (Audio, Video, Games) of the Group.

Paul Chesney commenced his career in the Home Entertainment Industry in 1983 at Warner Home Video, where he managed UK Operations for nearly 9 years. He then moved onto Disney in a European capacity, managing and planning the operational release of 9 of the Industry’s top 10 titles, with BVHE driving the retail sector as the business moved from VHS to DVD format. In addition, Paul was actively involved in initiatives such as launching the Disney Interactive business, along with rebranding and positioning the Disney audio business within the UK retail arena.  Paul also chaired the BVA sub-committee responsible for determining the future format of the DVD box as Amaray.

More recently, Paul undertook the role of Managing Director of Technicolor in the UK before moving into Business Development at Independent Music Industry Supplier Disctronics where he developed their UK DVD business to over 15% market share before they sold to Deluxe Media Services. At Deluxe, Paul eventually took on the mantle of SVP Sales and Marketing Worldwide before leaving Home Entertainment and joining Digital Cinema leaders Arts Alliance Media where he was responsible for developing theatrical digital content business and launching an ‘Alternative Content’ operation which involved acquiring and bringing live and recorded events to digital cinemas Worldwide across the Opera, Music and special interest genres.

Paul rejoined the Home Entertainment arena in March 2009 at Universal Pictures International Entertainment (UPIE) as VP International Operations, with a remit to efficiently manage and secure the supply-chain for all territories outside of the USA and Canada.
