Matthew leads Deloitte’s EMEA Digital Strategy practice. After a couple of years messing about with lasers, Matthew started his proper career in the mobile industry as part of a well-funded, but short lived attempt to disrupt the traditional media industry. Having tried and failed to convince members of the public that they preferred watching Belgian Second Division to Big Brother, thought Second Life was better than Facebook and would rather listen to music in 8 bit mono, he jumped ship and started helping media companies make the most of technology.

Since then, Matthew’s clients have included some of the biggest brands in global media and technology. He has worked with companies in locations as diverse as India, Kenya and Japan and has been part of digital business launches in every continent except Antarctica. In addition to his client work, Matthew is the author of Deloitte’s Digital Leadership series on the organisation and culture of digital businesses and leads and authors the annual Media Consumer survey, now in its eighth year.
