Josh C. Kline Head of Media & Entertainment Box | Consulting Josh C. Kline is an Emmy® Award-winning technologist who has spent the last 14 years building new businesses in Digital Media, with a focus on content production and distribution. After a decade working in film and television production, Josh co-founded and led Sample Digital, Inc. as CEO, where he oversaw development of, patented and brought to market Digital Dailies®, introducing cloud services to the film and television production industry and revolutionizing the review and approval process of production media. Josh exited Sample Digital to run Secure Path Technology, an enterprise cloud-based metadata services company, followed by a role in Strategic Business Development at Deluxe Digital Distribution prior to his tenure as Chief Strategic Officer at Final Draft, Inc.

Josh is currently the Head of Media & Entertainment for the Consulting Group at Box, Inc. (, driving product strategy and customer solutions for Box’s Media & Entertainment vertical. Josh is an alumnus of USC’s School of Planning & Development.

As Executive Director, Technology Strategy at Dolby Laboratories, Patrick Griffis is charged with helping define future technology strategy for the company which includes identifying and tracking key technical trends, performing technical due diligence, and supporting advanced technology initiatives for the company.

Before joining Dolby, Pat spent 10 years at Microsoft leading global digital media standards strategy, including adoption of the Digital Living Network Alliance as a baseline media sharing standard in Windows 7 and standardization of Windows Media Video technology as an international SMPTE standard.

Prior to Microsoft, Pat spent 15 years at Panasonic in senior management positions, including Vice President of Strategic Product Development at Panasonic Broadcast, where he helped launch DVCPRO and drive US strategy for HDTV. Pat started his career at RCA, earning eight patents in TV product design.

Pat has been an ATSC board member and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Digital Living Network Alliance. He served two terms as President of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. Pat is currently a member of the IBC Council, an industry executive advisory group, and of the Academy of Digital TV Pioneers. A SMPTE Fellow, he serves on the SMPTE Executive Committee as Vice President, Education. Pat holds a BSEE degree from Tufts University and an MSEE from Purdue University.

In his most recent achievement, Robin managed the content logistics teams across all platforms (on-line, TV, Cinema, social) for the worldwide simultaneous release of the 50th Anniversary episode for the Doctor Who brand. At BBC Worldwide, Robin is responsible for the global supply chain strategy to bring scalable content distribution to all areas of the company.
